hi
im back again i posted a few months back about problem.i still have not been able to sort it out.
the prblem being all my usb devices will not work when i boot pc up i get a black screen after the windows loading screen which hangs for a min' or so
then when it does come on none of my usb devices work untill i unplug them and plug them back in again ?
i have down loaded all the latest drivers for..usb mouse.. web cam and printer.. i also installed the latest bios..for motherboard..asrock k7vt4a pro..
still no joy. i rolled back the windows usb drivers still nothing..however if i
uninstall microsoft sp2 every thing works..all devices work after boot up no black screen no hanging ..but soon as i reinstall sp2 it plays up..i have tried installing sp2 from 3 other discs of friends but the same thing happens ?
does sp2 do anything with power settings.? i have checked power rattings for web cam and mouse both are under 500 m.a so they are not pulling to much power.. i have 6 usb sockets on back of pc all are usb 2.0..
i need help big time now as i have given up.. pc is about to take flying lessons..

Have you installed the USB drivers of your mainboard?
They're probably on the CD that came with your mainboard.

yes ive installed new drivers for board didnt come on disc with board all it said was get drivers from microsoft.. they also come with sp.2 anyway.
ive been all through drivers it not that..
if i uninstall microsoft sp.2 all devices work fine its just when sp.2 is installed nothing works untill i unplug them and plug them back in ? it just seems that all the usb,s turn off when pc shut down and dont turn back on when pc booted back up ? but if i leave usb mouse in when pc is turned off it charges batteries and blue light stays on so some power is getting to it..
its something in sp.2 that is causing the problem but i dont know what..
