tried to install a usb optical mouse and get the driver installation file for this device is missing a necessary entry
this may be because the INF was written for windows 95 or later contact your hardware vendor
i did this and they said install sp2 i have xp pro and sp2 is installed
ive been in device manager and have a HID with an exclamation mark when pressed i get code28 missing please help anyone

Hi Ian072 and welcome to PCHF, could you go to the manufacturers website and download updated drivers for your hardware?

solved this by reinstalling windows but now when i try n play a game that worked pre install dont now ive installed drivers one error is video memory and one is pixel 1.1 capacity
ist there any programs that will search and find whats missing on my pc and find it and download it

Also did you reinstall the drivers for the video card, motherboard, ect. after the reinstall?

Have a look what this scan says:

Don't pay for the drivers but just report back the scanning results and we'll find you the drivers for free.

thanks all job done and dusted yes joe i was missing one must be the disk
looking at getting more ram now prob have more qusetions later when ive looked inside to find out what ram chips in
