Default [Fixed] Keyboard help.

Hi. I have a small problem with my Keyboard. When I press Shift + 2, it should produce this: "

But instead it is producing this: @

To get the quote tags I need to press Shift + '

Which should normally produce: @

Sorry if I'm being a bit confusing. Any idea what is wrong?

Also, when I press Ctrl + Alt + E, it should produce the e with an accent, but it doesn't. I had this problem with my old Keyboard, which I recently replaced because it was too big. My new keyboard has the same problem, so I think it is something to do with my PC.

It sure is Vamp!

You need to change the language setting on your pc.

Click Start > Control Panel > Regional & Language Settings > Go thru all of the sections/tabs and set to the language you want -- your problem would directly indicate that you are using United States as a setting but you need to set United Kingdom on all of the sections within.

I did that [Set it to English (Ireland) ] and I still have the same problem.

Update: I seem to have fixed it, thanks.

Default UK Keyboard

Hi Vamp,

Try setting the keyboard to UK English, maybe the o/s thinks that the Irish keyboard is the same as the US.

You'll perhaps also need to set the standard language.
