Peripherals - [Fixed] - Keyboard problems (again) posted in the Hardware forums; Well i have swapped keyboards with my dad and it is still doing it. It must be in my regional settings somewhere i just cant think !...

Well i have swapped keyboards with my dad and it is still doing it. It must be in my regional settings somewhere i just cant think !

you can go into your keyboard settings and go into properties and click restore default, lets see if that helps.

Can i ask where abouts that is.
I have gone into control panel and keyboard under there but cant see a restore default button

Hey there Cowburn,

The reason you are having these problems is because your regional settings is set incorrectly.

You need to do the following:
  • START - CONTROL PANEL - REGIONAL AND LANGUAGE OPTIONS - LANGUAGES - DETAILS
  • Your keyboard is probably setup as a US Keyboard so click on ADD
  • Now in the top box you need [ENGLISH UNITED KINGDOM] and the bottom box UNITED KINGDOM EXTENDED.
  • Then click OK, OK and OK again and your keyboard should be working.
  • It might only take affect once you restart though.
