Default [Answered] Mouse sticking

I'll certainly reccomend the forum.
I've put the windows disc back in and pressed 'fix'. This seems to have freed up about another 25% of disc space so thats good.
The only other problem I've got is that the mouse is sticking.
I've bought a new (laser type) mouse and it is still sticking.
I beleive it may be due to me downloading a driver for a scanner that somebody gave us. Whilst it was copying the files a message came up saying something like the software didn't have a windows digital signature? I think the gist of it was that the files may cause some sort of conflict in the system.
Anyway, I think some of the files were copied before I stopped it.
If this is the case, is there any way of resolving the issue?

I'm also looking at PC Worlds 'PC Health Check as it seems quite cheap and you get special offers on other items.

Cheers, nick.

Default Mouse sticking

Hey Nick,

Glad to hear that you're reccomending us. :-D

I am going to split this topic so that it's in the Mouse forum. Hardware isn't really my specialty, but I would try to unistall and reinstall the mouse.

I'm sure the guys will have some other ideas for you.

Hi

When you say "sticking" I assume you mean it's kinda jerky and seems like it's getting stuck on the screen? Well, it's more than certainly a driver issue. Please let us know the exact make and model of the mouse.

Also, if it's a USB mouse, please try another port. Also, hold back on the PCW software purchase. Let us know your requirements, there may be a free tool that we can recommend that will do the same job for you.
