After recently moving my computer, I tried to use my scanner. I installed all of the discs correctly, but it still wouldn't work. I was then advised by MadGamer to download the latest driver for the the scanner from the Packard Bell website. This still does not work. When you click on My Computer, the scanner appears, although when you try to use it, any error message appears telling me that no device is attached, even though it is!!! MadGamer is a good friend of mine, he has even looked at it himself, and still can't resolve it!!! Has anyone got any ideas as to how to rectify the problem??? Please let me know if you have any ideas........ :-)

Just to carry on the message, i have tried to rectify the problem myself, by doing what was mentioned above and i still couldnt work out what the problem was.

This thread was left unfinished. We had lots of questions to ask and lots of things to try. First of which was why Mgodden reinstalled the scanner after only moving the PC.

Was there a problem when they plugged the scanner back in? Are there conflicts showing in Device Manager? Was the scanner completely uninstalled, all traces of the software removed, and then reinstalled?
