Default [Information/Pending] USB.CAT File Missing

I have been trying to install my HP PSC 2110 All-In-One series. Yet when it makes a driver data base for the usb it asks for the Windows 98 cd-rom which sadly has been lost. An error message tells me that either the USB.CAT file has been corrupt or deleted. Can you help me at all?

:-) Hi Gregneedshelp,

I like your screen name, it shows desperation, :-D

You should be able to install the drivers, (double click and follow the prompts,) and let windows locate the files when it's installing your printer.

Usually, if it can't find a specific file, you can get it to tell you where the file is going to be located, 9 out of ten times you'll find the file where it was going to be put. Click on it and the process moves forward.

Give it a try, I am going to be online for a while, and I will keep my eye out for your posts, so if you need moment by moment help we can open up an IM or something.

You can do it.
