I recently offloaded this scanner to a family friend, but i cant seem to get it to work with her system.

I installed the software as per usual, connected it via the parallel port..but on the restart it goes to a blue screen and then restarts once more.

Whats odd though, is she said that she connected the scanner earlier and it was on and didnt seem to have the same problem, before we tried to install the actual software.

Any ideas? I was thinking BIOS configuration but i went into there and everything seems to be set ok...

Do you get a warning when installing the drivers that they are not Microsoft certified? Sounds like the software isn't behaving itself...if you are installing from a cd, grab the latest version by clicking here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/s...&lang=en&cc=us
