Whenever I insert my flash drive, its status light flickers, and then turns off, and therefore the drive is not recognized (cuz it's off). This has been happening ever since I 'safely ejected' my flash drive earlier in the day. I've tried it on 4 different PC's, and the same thing happens, so it's a problem with the flash drive. Has anybody had a similar problem?

This is a Cruzer Micro 4.0 GB flash drive.

If the same thing happens on 4 different PC I'd say the flash drive has a problem. Do you get an error message at all? Also go to start>run and type compmgmt.msc click ok under disk managment is the flash drive appearing?

No error message, no recognizing "ding", and it is not listed under disk management. Completely inactive. Now I wish I had made a backup...

Well.. I had just finished re-vamping two websites and was taking it out to go to another pc to upload them to the server, but it didn't load up. I may go to my local pc handyman guy and see if he has anything to fix it, first. It'd be a lot of work to redo everything.

Had an idea I wonder if you can access it with a dos boot disk and copy it else where
