Default Wireless Woes. Quick Replies Needed!!

I have an extremely annoying problem that needs to be fixed pretty **** quick!
The thing is I've installed the driver software for my USB wireless internet pen (I am also using it on my desktop and it works on there) but when I install the programs every time I try to start the software up again it will not work, i click the shortcut and nothing happens. There should be small icons of a tv in the bottom right of the screen and they are not there (they are on my desktop using the same pen)
Also when I plug the pen in instead of the usual Da Ding that windows uses to signal that a USB device has been plugged in there is just a quick succession of 3 ding ding dings and it doesn't say that anything has been plugged in.
Please help I would really like to use the internet on it tonight and I only have 3 days left for windows activation...
George

You can use the phone to activate your copy of Windows

Most times those type of hardware devices are very particular on how you install them. Did you follow the instruction's?
When its connected to the pc, dos it show in the Device Manager?

Yes its found in the device manager and now I've managed to make it recognize it when I plug it in and it tells me to install it but I don't know where to install it from.

Also about the activation I'm not to bothered about getting that done tonight, it's just I need to get on Msn!

What does the instructions tell you?
You can go to the Device Manager and update the drivers from there. Just pop the cd in the drive and point it to the drive letter.
It sounds as if you are not installing the device properly, you will have issues.
