Hello jenniwh,

Welcome to PCHF.

Should be a simple fix.

- In explorer, go to Tools, Folder Options.
- Click on the File Types tab, and under "Registered file types", click on (None) Folder, followed by Advanced.
- Under "Actions", click on Open followed by Set Default.
- Finally, click on OK and Close and all your problems should be sorted.

I use Windows_E to open an explore window.
double click on C:/ drive and it goes to a "search results" window.
I right-click on c:/ and select open and the contents are there. I double click on docs&settings and it gets a search results window.

Confused, I thought you had sorted the folder problem out from the instructions in the first thread?

OK, I've attached keys.zip. Open this zip file and you will see in the contents, two files called drive.reg and folder.reg. Double click on each of these. You will be asked if you want to add the information into the registry, click yes.

This should resolve all the issues you mentioned.
