This also happens when I run Linux. As a result, I feel it could be a hardware issue. My model number is VGN-CR123E. Attached to this post is a HijackThis doc. report. I have tried updating my drivers (they were up to date). Kaspersky found a few things which it took care of. A wireless connection works fine, but I don't have one in my dorm room. I understand this may be a problem with grounding issues, but the rooms worked fine until around a month ago (other students seem to have no problems still). The last thing I can think of is to do a system restore after backing up my system. If you have any other suggestions, please let me know. If we can't fix it without manual labor, I'd still appreciate if we could troubleshoot it to the point where we know what kind of work will need to be done. Note that the two .jpgs could be unrelated. They are the same error message, but TWO of them show up during startup. Anyway, help would of course be much appreciated at this point. Thanks.

If this happens with Linux then it will not be malware related.I will hand you back over to Wolfeymole...

The first thing to do is to remove one of you AV programs. The files are not missing. Its just that HJT and heaps of other programes are not compatible with the 64 bit system. All I have to offer is this....
Download OTL to your desktop.http://oldtimer.geekstogo.com/OTL.exe Double click on the icon to run it. Make sure all other windows are closed and to let it run uninterrupted. When the window appears, underneath Output at the top change it to Minimal Output. Check the boxes beside LOP Check and Purity Check. Under Custom Scan copy and paste the red text from the code box. Code:
netsvcs msconfig safebootminimal safebootnetwork activex drivers32 %systemroot%\System32\antiwpa.dll %systemroot%\SYSTEM32\wpa.dll %systemroot%\setup\scripts\biestart.exe %systemroot%\system32\drivers\royal.sys %systemroot%\system32\oobe\AntiWPA_Crypt.dll %TEMP%\antiwpa_crypt.dll %TEMP%\antiwpa.dll /s %PROGRAMFILES%\antiwpa.dll /s %systemroot%\system32\crypt.dll %TEMP%\crypt.dll %SYSTEMDRIVE%\*. %SYSTEMDRIVE%\*.* %PROGRAMFILES%\*. When the scan completes, it will open two notepad windows. OTListIt.Txt and Extras.Txt. These are saved in the same location as OTL. Please copy the contents of these files and post them with your next reply. If the text is to big,zip it up or post it in two or three parts.

I believe I just have Kaspersky installed. My apologies if you wanted for me to remove that as well. I'm sick, so I hope I completed the process accurately.
