What exactly is a format? How do i do it, will I lose one time subscription programs like my Kaspersky and Microsoft office if I have not already backed them up?

A format removes everything from your hard drive.You then install XP from your disc again.Subscritption programs,the ones you buy online, can be downloaded again. Would you like me to get one of the other techs to help you do the format.?
