I was surfing the net and all of a sudden my Avg Anti-virus starting alerting me of a security threat. My desktop background changed to an all blue screen with a red message that said my computer was infected. When i try to change it, it dose not let me scroll through my wallpapers. Messages kept popping up saying the same thing and to click OK to get the latest anti virus software (i never hit OK).

On firefox some sites are restricted and tell me to download the latest spyware software. firefox is also running really slow. I also had a red X in my taskbar that always gave me a long message about installing a new spyware program.

I cant open the task manager. I ran my avg spyware scanner and it got rid of the red x and the popup messages. But every thing else is still the same. Can someone please help me!!!!
