Can I know what problems you are encountering with your PC?

I noticed that you have Viewpoint installed.

Viewpoint Media Player/Manager/Toolbar is considered as foistware instead of malware since it is installed without users approval but doesn't spy or do anything "bad".

I suggest you remove the program now. Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and remove the following programs if present.
  • Viewpoint
  • Viewpoint Manager
  • Viewpoint Media Player
  • Viewpoint Toolbar
  • Viewpoint Experience Technology

If you are having trouble removing Viewpoint, I suggest that you use ViewpointKiller. You may download it from this link.

Once you have downloaded ViewpointKiller, unzip it to a convenient location such as your desktop. Run ViewpointKiller, and select File > Do All Killings. Follow the prompts, selecting Yes or No, depending on which selection you are most comfortable with. A logfile will be created in the folder you unzipped ViewpointKiller to, please paste the contents here if you ran the tool. More importantly, please let me know how your PC is running now.

The only problem I have is that my computer randomly jumps to 100% CPU usage... Doesnt matter if i have one application open or 10. The other day i was watching a movie and it jumped to 100% .. I closed the program from windows task manager and it stayed at 100% for atleast 5mins and then slowly but surely the cpu usage went down. I dont believe it went below 50% tho...

Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete to summon up Windows Task Manager. Then go to Processes. Which process is taking up the most memory?

Meanwhile, it's time to remove ComboFix.

Go to to Start > Run
Type in box

combofix /u

Note: the space between the X and the /u

Press Enter.

This command will:

Delete the following:
ComboFix and its associated files and folders.
VundoFix backups, if present
The C:\Deckard folder, if present
The C:_OtMoveIt folder, if present

Reset the clock settings.
Hide file extensions, if required.
Hide System/Hidden files, if required.
Reset System Restore.

I asked because sometimes the 100% CPU usage is attributed mainly to the System Idle Process. If the cause is this, then it just means that the processor is doing nothing.
System idle Process shows 100% cpu usage

If it's FireFox, have you tried reinstalling? I know FireFox takes up more resources than IE, Chrome, etc though.

Yeah i really have no idea what it is... But yeah Firefox always takes up the most CPU usage... It happened again last night. I was watching a movie on this computer and all of sudden CPU jumps to 100%.... I was using VLC player to watch the movie. Still odd
