From my experience, P2P programs like Limewire and BitTorrent are the major source of malware infections. I highly recommend that you uninstall the program.


For now, please click on the Prework link in my signature and post back with the requested logs.

For the MalwareBytes scan, try renaming the executable file if you are not able to run it. That normally clears things up.

and Thank You for your help!

I checked out your prework, and tried several times both in normal and safe mode to access 'my computer'. In safe mode I can't because it keeps popping up 'do you want to a system restore? and clears what I've done. In normal mode, if I go to explore it does the 'explorer.exe no disk'. So I'm not able to access that to view hidden folders. I finally was able to scan with malware bytes, I will include that log when it's finished, it's still got a ways to go, I'm doing it in safe mode. Do you have any other recommendations on how to access my computer to show hidden files??

Oh also I deleted limewire, and I did see that spyware guard 2008 is still installed.

Download Dial-a-fix and see if it makes following instructions on your PC easier for you:

If it doesn't, then don't worry too much about that. Complete the MBAM scan, run HijackThis after that and post both logs in your reply.

Okay, the malware bytes scan got me to the point of:
now I have desktop/taskbar/start menu/internet!
But, pc still slow and pics don't show up on IE. I haven't done any updates yet. On the my computer/explorer/tools:
