Hey valis,
There was a email in my gmail inbox which said that you had replied to this thread but it didn't appear here on the forum .
Neway you had asked from where i had done the malware scan on dss.exe
Ironically it was the link that you had given me on the 1st reply that you have given on this thread. That link said that dss.exe was infected. There was no log
But i did the online file scanner of Kaspersky and that said that dss.exe was a safe file.
So i don't no what to believe as of now. The Kaspersky log is given below : -

Neither do I. I haven't asked you to do anything to the registry yet.

Curious as to the registry, though. Haven't asked anything about that. Yet.

As for the registry editting that I was talking about, I am sorry, my bad. I was referring to the " FIX CHECK of --- O2 - BHO: (no name) - {7E853D72-626A-48EC-A868-BA8D5E23E045} - (no file)----" I thought it was related to the registry. My bad, rookie mistake. But as I am thinking of keeping the Crawler Toolbar, should I still FIX that thing with hijackthis.exe?? Thanks for showing so much concern with my matters. Am loving this forum all the more...

You also need to update your java: Go to Add/Remove programs and uninstall this: Java Runtime Environment Now go here and install the latest version of Java. Then try kaspersky again. Thanks, v

Hey valis,
Well I did the actions you have asked me to do. Is there anything else you would wish me to do. And can I please know why Kaspersky Online Scanner still stops once the program runs after the database gets updated and the program actually begins running..
