Don't know if I'm in the right forum, but I know I'm in the right site! 'Hijackthis' listed y'all as one of the groups that could analyze this for me. My computer does 'spaz' out every now and then, where the cursor goes off on its' own, and blue command boxes start popping up (like when you right-click). 99% of the time, I'm online when it happens, and it kicks me off, back to the desktop. But after I wait a minute and log on, it's fine. And everything else seems to be functioning properly -- it's more of a nuisance than anything.

I have the McAfee security suite via AOL, and the initial scan found a trojan, which it 'fixed'; after that, it's been clean. (BTW, the 'DameWare Mini Remote Control' is inherent in the system -- this computer used to be part of a call-center network). Thanks for enlightening me!

Ok.We need to download ComboFix.exe. This will give a better view to the files running and also hidden on your computer.
Please visit this webpage for download links, and instructions for running ComboFix
When the tool is finished, it will produce a report for you. Please copy and paste the "C:\ComboFix.txt" along with a new 'HijackThis' log so that we can continue to do any further cleaning that your system may require.
Caution: Never run and remove files with Combofix unless supervised by a qualified security analyst who is experienced in the use of Combofix. Mal use can cause serious computer problems
NOTE: Combofix prevents autorun of all CDs, floppies and USB devices to assist with malware removal & increase security. If this is an issue or makes it difficult for you - please let me know.

Thanks for checking things out for me! But, it may take me a little while to accomplish what you asked, 'cuz: 1) I don't have a printer, so I have to email the ComboFix instructions for downloading the Windows Recovery Console to my job and print them there! (don't tell anybody! ;- ), and 2) this appears to be a little beyond my ken, and a little bit scary, and I could really screw things up, so I need to coerce my computer buddy over here to assist me in the process -- that may take awhile!

I'll be back in touch, but it's comforting to know everything looks OK so far! You guys are good! It's nice for neophytes like me to have a site like this to depend on, and can trust!
