Please run HijackThis and place a checkmark by the following entry:
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [sysrest32.exe] C:\WINDOWS\system32\sysrest32.exe

Close all other windows except HijackThis and press "Fix Checked". Then close HijackThis and reboot the computer.

Now navigate to and delete the following file if it still exists:
C:\Windows\System32\sysrest32.exe

In your HijackThis log, I also notice you have the ICQ toolbar. This is a Softomate Toolbar variant - Softomate customizes toolbars to customers needs. The dll files for their toolbars contain some spyware/adware functionality, although not all of the toolbars use this. Some of the toolbars are fine to have, so every case is different. Your choice. Inform me if you want to remove this.


Finally run Panda ActiveScan.

• Once you are on the Panda site click the Scan your PC button
• A new window will open...click the Check Now button
• Enter your Country
• Enter your State/Province
• Enter your e-mail address and click send
• Select either Home User or Company
• Click the big Scan Now button
• If it wants to install an ActiveX component allow it
• It will start downloading the files it requires for the scan (Note: It may take a couple of minutes)
• When download is complete, click on My Computer to start the scan
• When the scan completes, if anything malicious is detected, click the See Report button, then Save Report and save it to a convenient location. Attach the ActiveScan report in your next reply, along with a new HijackThis log.
