Right, I am trying to fix a friends pc it was completely goosed but I have de many scans with adaware, s&d, avg, fixwareout, combofix, malwarebytes, superantispyware. I have turned off the system restore point as the virus seems to be in there.

Avg keeps saying there is downloader.swizzor in the system restore point. The PC has windows xp and is very slow which doesnt help.

I am now constantly getting a virtual memory warning. It does only have 256mb ram.

Help needed.

Her is how to increase virtual memory.

1.Click Start, right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.
2.In the System Properties dialog box, click the Advanced tab.
3.In the Performance pane, click Settings.
4.In the Performance Options dialog box, click the Advanced tab.
5.In the Virtual memory pane, click Change.
6.Change the Initial size value and the Maximum size value to a higher value, click Set, and then click OK.
7.Click OK to close the Performance Options dialog box, and then click OK to close the System Properties dialog box.

You realy need more RAM.

log's clean. You can fix the below entry by starting hjt, performing a system scan only, tick the below and click 'fix checked':

O3 - Toolbar: &Google - {2318C2B1-4965-11d4-9B18-009027A5CD4F} - c:\program files\google\googletoolbar1.dll (file missing)

Let's clean out the restore points as well. That will cure avg's issue with those.

1. Turn off System Restore.
On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
Check Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

2. Reboot.

3. Turn ON System Restore.
On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
UN-Check *Turn off System Restore*.
Click Apply, and then click OK.
