Exclamation Clean up Time
Need some help.
Also, I can't uninstall McAfee completely. I think there a couple registry traces still left.
I'm trying to install Kaspersky V.7 and it detects McAfee still. I don't see the program file anymore or any files on the computer, so I believe that there are traces in the registry.

CCleaner has a very good registry cleaner-- it will help remove all the leftovers.
When it's done cleaning reboot before any new install attempts...
It also could not hurt to run regedit and look for any Mcafee folders- just right-click + delete the whole folder. Sometimes brute-force is required.

Might be worth lookin at this page too How to uninstall or reinstall supported McAfee consumer products using the McAfee Consumer Products Removal tool (MCPR.exe) theres a tool for removing Mcafee products like the norton one, the download link is on the page
