Default PC EXTREMELY slow

well this new PC im running is godly slow, so im trying to figure out if its spyware/virus related or is the pc itself just ****. Im sure its probably just a crappy pc considering its running on a celeron and its old school horizontal tower instead of the vertical once 99% of the world uses these days. but even still I would think a PC with a DVD rom drive and that can run XP would at least be decent. anyway as usually AVG log didnt save (even though i set it to do so) so i only have hijackthis and super antispyware logs. What all AVG and superantispyware got were tracking cookies, and superantispyware found a "trojan of unknown source" or w/e but I know for 100% fact thats a safe files some software just picks it up as a trojan" so as far as superantispyware and AVG goes this pc is clean.. I cant read HJT though so hopefully someone find something wrong there but after t hose two scans turning up nothing Im 99.9% sure that my theory on this PC just being **** is accurate.

You may want to print these out. please close all other applications, start hjt again, click 'perform system scan only', place a tick next to the following and click 'fix checked'
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {7E853D72-626A-48EC-A868-BA8D5E23E045} - (no file)
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [FamilyCyberAlert] C:\WINDOWS\system32\FCyberAlert\Syslogin.exe
O8 - Extra context menu item: &AIM Search - c:\program files\aol\aim toolbar 5.0\resources\en-US\local\search.html
O18 - Filter hijack: text/html - {90095BBC-9B81-4684-BE5D-AD1D919D5DCB} - (no file)
O18 - Filter: text/plain - {90095BBC-9B81-4684-BE5D-AD1D919D5DCB} - (no file)

Go to start > run > services.msc, scroll down to viewpoint manager service > right click > stop, then delete the following folders/files:

Folder:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\FCyberAlert

File:
C:\Program Files\Viewpoint\Common\ViewpointService.exe

Right click start > explore > program files > delete the folder vioewpoint and anything marked wild tangent.

Reboot, and post a new log.

thanks,

v

well i found out the pc is only 2 years old.. not nearly as old a i thought so it definitely shouldnt be as slow as it is lol a for how its running well i clicked on power DVD earlier it didnt open, so i thought it was broke or something and begun doing something else, while in the middle of doing something else power dvd finally popped up and opened. it took so long that by the time i was in the middle of something else. i had COMPLETELY forgotten I had even clicked on power dvd earlier wondering why it popped up. so yeah Ive seen slow pcs but this on i so slow Im forgetting I clicked on things previously that "magically" open up Id say thats a problem lol, so the answer would be it still isnt running too well lol..
