There is nothing showing in any of the logs - so let's dig deeper:

Download Deckard's System Scanner to your desktop:
http://www.techsupportforum.com/sect...eckard/dss.exe

Make sure all running programs and Windows Explorer windows are closed.
Double-click on dss.exe to run it,then follow the prompts.
The scan may take a few minutes to complete.

When the scan has finished,a text file will open 'main.txt'.

Please Note:
When running Deckard's System Scanner, some firewalls may warn that sigcheck.exe is trying to access the internet, please ensure that you allow sigcheck.exe permission to do so.
Also,it may happen that your Antivirus flags Deckard's System Scanner as suspicious.
Please allow the Deckard's System Scanner to run and don't let your Antivirus delete it.
(If necessary temporarily disable/turn off your Antivirus program).

Post the main.txt and extra.txtfrom the Deckard's System Scanner into your next reply please.

What Deckard's System Scanner will do:
create a new System Restore point in Windows XP and Vista.

clean your Temporary Files, Downloaded Program Files, and Internet Cache Files, and also empty the Recycle Bin on all drives.

check some important areas of your system and produce a report for your analyst to review.
Deckard's System Scanner automatically runs HijackThis for you, but it will also install and place a shortcut to HijackThis on your desktop if you do not already have HijackThis installed.

Not much showing there either. I question does get raised though when looking at the logs.

Did you or any other user of that computer try to recently fix another problem?

Did it say that it found any?

Let's try another rootkit scan.

To use RootKit Revealer please make sure you are logged in as an Administrator to the computer.

Please download and unzip Rootkit Revealer to your desktop.

Please leave the defaults set as they are to:
Hide NTFS Metadata Files: this option is on by default
Scan Registry: this option is on by default.

Launch rootkit revealer on the system and press the Scan button.

RootkitRevealer scans the system reporting its actions in a status area at the bottom of its window and noting discrepancies in the output list.
It may take a long time please disconnect from the internet and leave the PC to be scanned until it is finished.

The log can be very large please edit out the items in the following folders in the log : C:\RECYCLER\NPROTECT and C:\System Volume Information, if in the log, before posting it.

Please post the balance of the log here in this thread (please double check that it has all been posted as it may be too long for one post)
