Exclamation PC Crashing.

Hello I am new to the site and I am already causing problems, sorry.

I am running Windows XP SP 2. My PC crashes when ever I am on for 1 hour or longer or when I try playing Call Of Duty 4. Since I could remember I always had issues with my computer, I had it for over 2 months. I reformatted it 3 times now. My friend built it for me but then a professional took a look at it and he said it should be fixed, but he did not fix it.I have CA Internet Security Suite Plus 2008 protecting my PC.

My Specs are:

e-GeForce 8800 GT (Video Card)
Liteon 20x SATA DVD Writer (DVD Driver)
ULTRA LSP 750 Watt ATX (Power Supply)
WD Caviar 500GB Serial ATA HD (Hard Drive)
Intel Duo Core Processor 2.66GHz (CPU)
nFORCE 680i LT SLI (Motherboard)
4 GB OCZ (Ram)
(Some CPU cooler and a case fan as well)

I was reading some forums that my Video Card could be faulty.
I am able to buy what ever I should buy.

My PC just crashed on me I got the blue screen of "Death" and it said "ERNEL_STACK_INPAGE_ERROR" I know that there is a letter before the ERNEL.
It also said "0x0000007A(0xE252A6B8, 0xC0000185, 0xBF8CE97D, 0x3FBA6800)

Win32K.sys - Address

BF8CE97D base at BF80000000 Date Stamp 47e0e106"

Hey Alex, welcome to PCHF.

Could be overheating there would be my first thought. Can you check your temperatures using:

Use nTune for your graphics card: NVIDIA nTune
Speedfan for the rest of your PC: SpeedFan - Access temperature sensor in your computer

Can I confirm that when you say that the PC crashes, the screen actually freezes?

EDIT: Can you follow the Blue Screens of Death link on my signature, and post a couple of logs on your last 2-3 if possible.

Comments on this post
Alexsad agrees: Thanks for responding!~

Yes the screen does freeze.
What do you mean "Post a a couple of logs on your last 2-3 if possible"?

If you follow the link Alex, it describes how to post a log of your last Blue Screen of Death. If you have received more than one, then please post a couple, as it will help to narrow your problem down further. Also don't forget your temperature checks.

Sorry it took long for me to reply my PC crashed.

I am having trouble finding out how to find the temp of my PC.
And I don't understand this "How to Attach a Dump File in PCHF
When it comes to your reply, below the "Quick Reply" message box, click on: "Go Advanced"
The advanced screen will give a "Reply to Thread" screen with more options. Click on the attachment icon: and a Manage Attachments window will appear.
Under the section "Upload File from your computer", click on the first Browse... button, and a Choose file window will appear.
Click on the "My Computer" icon on the left hand Window, double click on your local (c) drive, followed by "Windows" and continue your way through the files and folders shown in your Event Log. The file your looking for normally starts with "mini..". Once you find the file, double click on it to return to the Manage Attachments window.
Under the "Upload File from your computer", click on the Upload button, and you will then see your file appear under the "Current Attachments" section. Once you have done this, click on Close this window at the top right hand corner of the screen."

The whole section, and how do I download the temp checker?

EDIT: I tried re-installing my video card again and it said:

"NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT

has not passed Windows Logo testing to verify its compatibility with Windows XP."

Sorry Alex, I don't understand, the instructions talk you through the process step by step as simple as possible. Are you following the instructions from the beggining "Blue Screen of Death Prework"? If so, please tell me exactly what step your struggling on? Also, to download the temp checker, all you need to do is click on the blue link I provided?

I double click on the link but nothing comes up.
And on the instructions I do not understand..."Click on the "My Computer" icon on the left hand Window, double click on your local (c) drive, followed by "Windows" and continue your way through the files and folders shown in your Event Log. The file your looking for normally starts with "mini..". Once you find the file, double click on it to return to the Manage Attachments." window I know how to upload the file and all but I don't know where to find the file.

lol, is this link any better? http://www.almico.com/speedfan434.exe

OK, so when attaching that file, at that point you should have a Choose file dialogue window open. On the left of that window, you will see My Recent Documents, Desktop, My Documents, My Computer and My Network Places? If not, what do you see?
