edit: i check the properties of in my computer it says 2.00Ghz processor running at 800Mhz, still help please!

the slower running cpu could be power saving but this needs to be explored in bios.At post press either F2 oe the del key and have a look around bios for any incorrect settings. Has the machine been dropped? if so this could have easily caused damage to the hard disk which coudl explain the slow down. If you have restore discs just use them and reformat and install back to factory defaults. If not and you have an xp cd boot from that fully format the hard drive and install. I would find drivers and save to disc first though

The machine has not been drooped, we noticed the problem when we used a pc repair man from the phone book, we tried to call then and ask what had happen but they never returned our calls.
