PC Hardware - Flash Card Issue. posted in the Computing (General) forums; Hi.
I've just bought a flash card adaptor for my 1gb SD card from my mobile, but no matter what I do, it's not getting recognised.
Help....

Re: Flash Card Issue.
Do you mean it is a 'Micro' SD card - which is a lot smaller than a normal SD card ? Does it slide into an Adapter in order for you to fit it into your phone?

Re: Flash Card Issue.
Ok.
So, to confirm, you have a 1GB Micro SD card for your phone, which you're putting in an SD adapter - as in my photo - to convert it to the size of a regular SD card, which when inserted, isn't being recognized by your PC?
I had a similar problem with my PCMCIA reader and an SD card. My solution was simple, it seemed that if I inserted the PCMCIA card with the sd card in it, nothing would happen, but when I insert the PCMCIA card empty into the drive and then put the SD card in, it works. You might try putting your adapter in the slot on your PC empty and then slide the SD card into it
