Default Notebook repeatedly stutters :-(

Hi my HP notebook is only 3months old but everytime I try to watch a movie, type an email or design using photoshop my notebook will always stutter as in freezes for 2secs then allows me to continue. I have installed quite a lot of software since I purchased the notebook. I have also run virus scans and used PC Optimizer Pro to see if that could help but still problem persists. I was just hoping there may be a solution for this before I restored my system to its original setting and wipe out my C drive :-S. Any advise will be appreciated.

Thx Eddie

Suggest you download and install this program (it's free) CCleaner ... Alternative Download.
1. After installing...run the program...click on Analyzer...then click on Run Cleaner.
2. On the left side of the window, click on Registry...click on Scan for issues...click on Fix selected issues.

This program will cleanup your temp files and cookies which could be affecting your computer.

Reboot after running CCleaner.

hit windows key and r and type msconfig. Stop anything that you do not need under the start up tab. Leave security and anything the laptop needs ie trackpad etc but stop everything else. What player do you use to watch movies and what format do you use? might be worth changing your codecs google then download cccp codec pack and try
