I was on my computer for a couple minuets and it shut itself off.

I tried to turn it back on and it only stayed on for a few seconds.

I waited about 15 minutes and tried to turn it on again. It stayed on for longer but only long enough for me to pick what OS to boot.

Does anybody know whats going on here?

Hello and welcome to PC Help Forum.

When you turn it on can you check all the fans etc are running properly,this maybe a over heating issue?

check the fans are connected if they are not spinning.

Is it restarting or just shutting down?

Did you add any new hardware that might be stressing the Power supply? Also how old is your Power Supply and How many Watts is it. Does the computer give any error messages?

Whats in your computer?

I went to check the fans and I found my problem! The heatsink was unhooked, so it probably was a heating issue. I reattached the heatsink and so far all is well. Thanks, especially to Jelly Bean
