Have you tried switching user accounts?

Di you try to logon with no password entered?

Is there a choice drop down box on the small logon window?

See if there is a admin account and dont type a password just click ok?

firstly does this site cost and secondly will it even work because i cannot get to the desktop background with the "my computer" and "recycle bin" files

i can only get to the part where you choose which account you go on. there is no drop downs or any autofills

there isnt one. there must be a user name and a password but they do not show. there is definatly a username because you cannot just enter nothing

Just a thought. Have you tried to restart the computer in "safe mode"?
