I had a similar problem over a year ago,I uninstalled spybot and did not use the tea time or imunise the system.

And I would do the prework and post results back here.http://www.pchelpforum.com/hijackthi...a-prework.html
I just imunised right now.

Similar problem? I listed three problems, well two if you read my second post, and now three because i only got the spybot message ocne yesterday and it isn't really a issue i learned just an alert. So which are you referring to? I don't think it is neccasary to do all the work for a hijack this log for highlighted icons, but i may be wrong.

Also i recieved no help on a different topic i made in this forum a few days ago. (by the way a hijack this log is in that thread) I actually got that problem solved from a techie on a gaming forum..... I am not having a good experience with this forum at all.

The first post of yours about the registry.Spybot popup.

And if you are getting popups do they pre-work,we are trying to help with your issues some times there is not a clear fix.But we need to rule out some things first.

I haven't been getting pop ups, i said i only got it once in the morning yesterday, also i stated that the spybot message is just an alert and it occured once, i talked to the techie who helped me on a different forum and they told me what it was. My main concern is the highlighted I.E icons as i stated in my last post as well.... Are you reading my posts carefully?

If you really want a log i guess i can post it, but it is such a hassle, i was told a different way of hijack this prework the techie, it was pretty much the same steps except i didn't have to download SUPERAntiSpyware or do the following steps:

4. Boot into Safe Mode, (continually tap the F8 key during bootup until either a beep sounds, or a menu pops up. Use your arrow keys to navigate to Safe Mode, and hit Enter.)

Ok this one line b problem parasing xml: null is null or not an object could be bad coding on your home page?It doesn't sound like its something going on with your pc, but rather the website itself. Maybe its the browser you are using try another one.It is some kind of coding error in which an invalid value has been parsed by XML.

Theoretically you should only get this if you are visiting a specific webpage. If you get it everytime then it is worrying. You could try resetting your home page as there maybe a break in the code.Try a reinstall of java.If all else fails uninstall the browser you are using and reinstall it.I hope this helps?

Lol err i also stated earlier in this thread how not to worry about the line b issue anymore, yes it is a homepage issue with Yahoo i only get that message at the homepage. See it here http://www.pchelpforum.com/248966-post5.html

I want to know what is with the highlighted icons, read and see the image for that. Thank you.

I don't know what to suggest, other than trying a couple of things...

Right click desktop, arrange icons by..., and make sure lock web items to desktop is unchecked.

Also go to system properties, advanced, performance settings, and check the second from bottom option. (if it's already checked, uncheck, apply, then check again)

Hopefully one of those may do it.
