When burning with nero are you using the read buffer?

Next try this open my computer right click on your DVD drive and click properties..go to the tab that says recording and make sure :enable recording is checked"

Also try burning at a much slower speed like 12x or something like that.. I burn video at 4x's and Audio at 40x I never get a coaster like that

More confused than ever followed instructions and cant see no enable recording

Correct me if i am wrong, but it spins much faster burning CDs than it does for DVDs. Since as it is a new burner, could it not be a case that it requires more power than the PSU can supply for DVDs?

Attempted to use dvd/cd just installed a data cd and it wont even open that and i get the message
please incert cd in drive but i have.
Would be prepared to do remote assistance and check setting (MERLIN ONLY)

May have discovered something when i put a dvd data disk in the rom that my mate sent me it read
it instantly but when i tried two dvd data disks that i burned with my other dvd rom nothing happens,
His dvd discs say DVD+R 8x on them mine just say DVD_R .
Could this be the problem and can anyone tell me what the best dvd discs to get for my burner.

Got better blanks but still making coasters did a movie with avi to dvd converter, Seem to decode then burned for 3% then spat out the coaster. Grrr
