Hi there,
For some weird reason my computer keeps freezing. Not to the point where it will shutdown, but say for example, firefox will freeze for a second or two.
This is really weird as I have quite a high spec PC (Q6600 with 3gb DDR2 RAM).

I thought maybe it was my hard drive (as I done a check for badsectors and it showed up soem) however I replaced it with a brand new drive and I still have the problem.
It can't be my CPU overheating, as I have a beasty heatsink on it and its running at 24C.

What problems could it be?
Do you think it could be the memory (and if so should I do a burn in test to check it), or maybe the PSU (i do have quad core, 3gb ram,Nvidia 7660 GFX and 3 hard drives on it).

it could be your usb mouse. does your mouse freeze while trying to move?

Its not the mouse, because the whole system freezes.
For instance, whilst typing this reply, it would not show anything for a second in the box, then display what ive typed.

No matter what specs you have the freezing is not your hardware it is Windows.. I have high specs as well but I have the ocassional freezehere and there and it is because of the OS

Download hijack this and post a log.. This can be malware related..
