Default sata2 and p5b problems
Hey pc help

I have just bought my first sata2 Harddisc: WD Caviar SE16 3200AAKS, 320GB, SATAII
i used to use IDE without any problems, but after i put in my sata2 my computer freezes.
People tells me it could be something with chipset / driver problems for my harddisc / motherboard, men i to be honest, have no clue. I have been on Asus homepage to get a chipset driver for my motherboard, unfortunately it didnt help.
I have also heard something about a controller, but i dont know what that is.

I hope you know more than I.

Its in your BIOS go check Bios settings enable cable select maybe?RAID.

i just went into my bios, and it says that sata is not detected.
I have no clue what to do in it, to setup my bios to detect my sata.
Is there a manual? or is all bios the same so you can guide me through it?
