Hi naner9, welcome to PCHF

If you could tell us a little more about the components inside the PC, and what you intend to use the computer for, it may be a little easier for us to make some recommendations. Things like make and model of motherboard would be quite useful.

If you don't know any of the specs, try the free Belarc Advisor tool, which will display a list of hardware components inside your computer.

Thanks,

ok thats what the advisor gave me! sorry for the mess! i could not upload the html file because internet explorer crashes when i click a link. basically i will be using the computer for general home use. internet, word processing etc, i would just like it to run well and quickly. however i want to install some programs that demand a lot more ram. also i was considering upgrading to win xp. so information such as what type of ram is compatable witht the motherboard and if i could install a better processor etc.would be very useful thanks
