Lightbulb Router Crashing - Possibly Warcraft?

Hey all,

Okay, I've got a Netgear DG834G router, and it really isn't liking me connecting to World of Warcraft. Every time I try to get into the game, it loads up nicely, shows me the playing screen for a few seconds and then I get the enigmatic blue error screen, or it'll just reset the PC itself.

This has also happened when I'm downloading anything of a significant size - it'll last about ten minutes, then crash and reset my system or give me the blue screen. Sometimes it's a blank blue screen, sometimes it's got writing that vanishes so fast I can't read it, and I have also had the IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL one.

It happens on both my laptop AND PC - I've tried it out on both, which is leading me to think that it is a router problem. It does not reboot or have any problems when I wire up the old DSL box thingy. Nevertheless, I have updated all of my drivers for my laptop, and it hasn't helped. My specs are as follows:

Windows XP Home
Intel Pentium 4 3.2 GHz
512 MB Ram
nVidia GeForce FX Go5100 Graphics

If there's anything else you need, then just let me know and I'll supply it - I really need to resolve this issue because it's driving me absolutely mental.

Cheers all,

Cheshirecat

Welcome to PC Help Forum

Can you run a search for *.dmp files on your PC and attach the last 2 or 3 to your next post in this thread.

Bump! Just in case it's gotten left by the wayside. I thought I'd figured it out by forwarding the relevant ports through my firewall as well as allowing the proper programs access through it, but nope - didn't work.

Any info would be great, cheers.
