Default [Resolved] No boot... cant access BIOS

Hello.. I'm new to the forums and I apologize if this has been posted before.

Recently I have taken apart my computer to simply check the RAM, Motherboard, Video Card, etc. Just making sure what I had and what not.. the only thing I had taken out was a red neon light that went out and one of the sticks of RAM but then I put the same one back in. Made sure that it was in the slot properly, closed it up, turned it on. And everything was working normally, got the boot up screen and heard the beep... then that’s it, it just froze. Tried accessing bios but will not let me, just stays at the startup screen. Double checked that everything was in right, and still nothing.

This is what I'm working with:
AMD Athlon 64 3200+
1 Gig of RAM (2x512 Kingston)
ATI Radeon 9600 Pro 256 MB

I'm fearing that I might of somehow killed that stick when I removed it. I know for a fact I grounded myself before touching anything... but yeah..

Any suggestions? Thanks in advanced

Hello WakeboardH205,

Welcome to PCHF.

First thing, wheather you removed the CPU or not, double check that this is seated properly (even if it means reseating), and the heatsink and fan is working properly.

The reason why I am leaning more towards CPU than any other component, is that if any other component was not corrected properly, you would receive warning beeps. Also, the PC would only freeze when going into BIOS if there was a CPU or motherboard problem. Make sure the 4 pin molex power connected is properly connected.
