Default [Answered] case fan fittment

Hi PCHF,
I salvaged a case fan and wish to fit it to a comp,it works fine as I have connected it up via power cable to hard drive.

Should i fit it at the front of the casing or the back.

I would have to move the hard drive to fit it in the front, plenty room to do that.

At the front it would be exhausting/intake under the hard drive at the back it would be exhuasting/intake directly underneath the power supply and at the CPU Cooler and its fan housing.

Also would I have the fan exhuasting hot air or having air taken into the comp.

Thankyou

Hi cart,

I'd suggest at the back of the case..and use it as exhaust for now.
If you get another fan in the future for the front of the case, i'd switch the back fan to intake and the front to exhaust.
