Default Hardware profile selector?

Lately, when I've been starting up my computer, I've been getting a hardware profile selector menu, prompting me to select a hardware profile. Only one option is available (Profile 1) and it seems to work fine when I select it.

However, I've also noticed that a few times (notably after playing Marvel Ultimate Alliance with my new Logitech game pad) my computer will act strange, as if someone is holding a down button. This has also happened when I haven't played Marvel and when my game pad is disconnected.

Lastly, my machine has frozen on startup during the ASUS motherboard splash screen a few times in the last two days.

I installed the new Logitech controller about a week ago, and these problems just started happening three or four days ago. I haven't added any other new hardware to my computer, either. Any ideas what could be going on?

it could be a driver error or its messed another driver up. check you drivers and make sure they are all working properly. Also if it seems as though someone is holding down a button, check make sure your keys arent sticking and check make sure the gamepad isnt faulty. As for freezing on post screen, something you could try if havnt done so already is take the cmos battery out for a few minutes, then put it back in to reset the bios to default. Is there any beeping noises when it freezes?
