Hi, iv recently bought a brand new PC Gigabyte GA_M59SLi-S5 nForce 590 (Socket AM2) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard - AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4600+ 2.40GHz (Socket AM2) - Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2 PC2-6400C4 800MHz Dual Channel Kit - Gainward BLISS GeForce 8800 GTS 640MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) and a Tagan TG580-U15 580W ATX2.01 Easycon SLi Compliant Modular Silent PSU iv installed XP wihout complications and now for sum reason i am getting random crahes. Welcome to PCHF!

Have you checked the rails on the PSU, it should be good - you can check with Speedfan or your motherboard software if it has them features to give you a reading.
Also do you have the latest drivers for everything and any Blue Screen's of Death?

I have the same PSU and mine is fine.

Moved to PC Hardware.

Chris

Im at work right now so i carnt check the rails right now but when i checked in the BIOS last night all the rails checked out ok. No Blue screens of Death, when it does crash it either just freezes on what i was lookin at or it will just restart. Iv installed all the mobo drivers that where on the disk supllied and gcard has the drivers from the disk supplied all microsoft updates installed. I was wondering should i try the combine the rails which my PSU supports to see if it helps?

Did your PSU come with it switched to split then?

I left mine on the default - Combine.

You could try it.

Edit: That dont sound very good to me, i would contact overclockers and ask.

Yeah i wasent sure about that split or combine, when i first got it was on Combine just switched to split and has not made n e difference +12v rail still at 8.19v. Seems like a new PSU for me again then. Unless theres something i could do?
