I think even with Plug&Play, it won't always work successfully, especially if the drivers resources folder (don't know the real term) is removed.

Sometimes a CD will come with the device and some people ignore it and say Plug&Play will always work. Since Plug&Play doesn't seem to be working here, try taking out the device, putting the CD in your computer, and running the setup that comes with the CD. The setup dialog should appear automatically, but if it doesn't, try Start > Run > type "D:\" (or replace "D" with the letter for your CD drive), and if the CD's folder appears, look for something like "setup.exe" or "install.exe", and run it.

Good luck, and tell me how it goes!
