Angry [Resolved] ACER MP-330 10GB HDD Problem

Hi i have the 10gb acer mp-330 hard drive mp3 player. But there is a few problems with it.

- There is 0KB WMA files in the recycle bin which are "undeleteable" (it crashes when you attempt to delete the files).

- It is not accessible via the pc. When i connect it via USB it makes the normal noise on the PC and it shows up in Safely Remove Hardware. It takes quite some time before it shows up in My Computer as a local disk but when you click on the disk it just crashes My Computer app.

Thanks in advance,

Hi upgrader, sorry noone has replied to your query sooner.

I personally have never had anything to do with mp3 players or many external usb hard drives.

Perhaps one of the other techs will be along shortly and maybe can help you out.

Its ok now. here is how i solved the problem for anyone else who has the same problem.

I reformatted the player.

1. Right-click My Computer and click Manage.
2. Then click Storage, Disk Management.
3. Right click disk and then format.
4. Type Volume Label.
5. Select FAT32 and Format drive.
6. Wait for percentage progress until finished.
7. Restart Computer.
8. Finish.

Thanks anyway GarHar
