All other Hardware - [Answered] Computer wont start normally posted in the Hardware forums; My computer for some reason wont start when i press the on buttom.........the tower turns on but no picture.....if i wait a while and then try sometime it works ans ...

My computer for some reason wont start when i press the on buttom.........the tower turns on but no picture.....if i wait a while and then try sometime it works ans start normally..to my knolegde i expected that my bios is bad...but im tryin to reset but can't....


can someone tell me wats going on here??? :wink:

Do you get any error beeps when starting your machine, if not make sure your speaker is connected to the motherboard properly.

What is the make/model of your motherboard?

It sounds like it might be a dodgy graphics card, do you have another card you could exchange it with to test?

the motherboar is gigbyte and model 8VM533P.....i dont have another graphic card.....you dont tink is the cmos or omsthing with bos cause it starts working but i have to wait until it starts

To reset the CMOS:

Turn off your PC and unplug the power cord.
Remove battery and wait for 30 seconds.
Replace battery, plug in the power and turn your PC on

Check the manual out and look at the "NOTE" on the first page, explains problems that have been encountered with
certain graphics cards.
