Default connect laptop to desktop
hi guys I was wondering can anyone tell me how to connect my laptop to my desktop for file sharing etc. I'm sure my laptop has a lan card and am almost certain my desktop does as I have a cable modem. I've got the lan cable but I hear that this cable has to be re-wired to allow this interface. Is this correct?

Hi there,

If both devices have a network card then you will need to get hold of a cross-over cable to complete the connection.
