My sister's 9 year old son is interested in starting to play. Other kids are recommending it.

I'm looking for things like - is this age appropriate? is it a resource hog? heavy graphics? and most importantly, is it free?

Looking here: Travian - Browser Game - Romans, Gauls & Teutons

It seems like it is a browser game likely running off of ActiveX objects. It's an MMORPG like World Of Warcraft but, a fairly good PC should be able to handle it. It looks age appropriate for your daughter.

I'm sure to get a definitive answer you could go over there and ask the players of the game themselves, unless somebody else comes along that plays

Howdey.At the present I play 6 Travian servers.When I find profane or racist player I re port same to Multi-hunter,an in-game enforcer.All in all travian is a good game.You can play for free,or purchuse gold to accerlerate your progress.There are other players on every server that watch.I hope you find this helpfull.
