Hi, im from Australia and I play Team Fortress 2 online (with steam obviously). In a usual game I would be LUCKY to get a ping of about 250, while in bad times it can go up to about 600 - 700. I dont understand this as I have a 1500/256 connection with 25gb download limit. I am connected via wireless to the downstairs wireless router (which must be 5 years old now.. :/) I sometimes have others in my house using the wirelessv, but even after no one is I get around 400.
Does anyone have any way to reduce my ping?
I was thinking of playing competitively but I cant with such high ping.

Do a isolation test on your phone line to see what / where the problem may be...
How to do a isolation test.
