Weird erros when trying to start games- - Page 2

I dont think having A 32bit operating system would have any effect on the game running.

Have you tried finding the installed game in My Computer, right click on the game executable and select properties.

Then click the compatibility mode tab and try running it in Windows XP (Service pack 3) mode.

Worth a try

Could you please go to Start, accessories, and right click command prompt and then click run as administrator.

In the box that appears could you type "dxdiag" (without the speech marks) and see if it finds any problems

If its a game that requires Direct X try reinstalling it i had a problem like this not to long ago that came up with something like your error message .. only a guess btw , but its worth a try it worked for me ..

Some recent googling leads me to believe that this may be malware/spyware related. As such, I am going to repost in the Spyware forum section for now. Thanks for your help guys =)
