Another question for you if you dont mind, would i get a better performance if i used two 512mb cards in sli instead of a 1gb card on its own ??

It depends on the card itself , i'm not really sure...
Do you have an idea on what cards they are?

I think, i think they are EVGA... but im not 100% certain.. :/

Oh if you mean model its still the gts 250

I guess that sli GTS 250 is probably better than an super clocked version GTS 250.

With a bit of overclocking on both cards it should beat the super clocked version , however remember to take precaution if you do.

More memory doesn't really mean better , it probably has to do with how the card utilizes it if not mistaken.
