I had a small problem to begin with where I did not have enough ram to run the game. I turned all the graphics to their lowest setting, and that seemed to fix it. The game runs perfectly throughout the beginning in the Vault. When I attempt to leave the vault, after the finalize your character screen, the game crashes and my computer reboots. Can anyone help? I have had a look at the minimum system specs for Fallout 3 on the PC and I think your system falls short on a few things.

It states you need a 2.4Ghz processor, yours is i think 1.6Ghz.

The minimum amount of RAM is 1Gb, you have 767Mb

You also need a Direct X 9.0c compliant video card with 256MB RAM (NVIDIA 6800 or better/ATI X850 or better), yours is an NVIDIA 6600 (with 128Mb RAM).

Remember, these are the minimum requirements that need to be met to play the game, it is best to really run at the recommended specs or higher.

I personally think these will be the issues regarding the game crashing.

Others may disagree, it is just my humble opinion

I see, thank you Smokey. That means I will need a new motherboard to be able to play, since DDR1 ram is hard to come by. And i'll need a new processor as well and maybe another graphics card.

I was wondering about your RAM but wouldn't have guessed that your system was that short in resource for the game. Too bad!

I am very satisfied with the answer. I thought my PC would be okay since it could run Elder Scrolls 4 Oblivion, but I guess not.
