When I go to play Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, my computer doesn't let me play. A popup appears and says:
Error during initialization
Video card or driver doesn't support seperate alpha blend, glow will be disabled.
Then it doesn't let me play. My computer is old, it's a Dell from around 2002 I believe.
Now, does it mean I have to buy a new graphics card or what? Or is my computer too old to play any new PC games?
Thanks for any help!

Which vid card u have?
Make sure all drivers are up to date and google the specs of ur vid card. Also look at the READ ME of COD4 and it will list supported AND unsupported vid cards. That will definately answer ur questions. |

I play CoD4 myself, and the error you receive looks alot like having a graphicscard that doesn't fully support the DirectX features. You can try installing the latest drivers to see if it helps, but I think your graphics card is just not on the list of supported hardware.
The link Vger gave is a very good one. Try it and it'll tell you if you should be able to play the game or not.
