can i skip that checking somehow?

Sims 2 can't update
So i bought sims 2 before few months . And i played it and got bored. Now i wanted to play it again with expansions. I got it installed on my computer. So i bought few expansions. After i installed first one , i have to check the update or something ... but i cant find my Sims 2 original disc .... and it requires to put one...
can i skip that checking somehow?

I doubt it,maybe you can borrow a disc from some body.
